18th Austrian Chemistry Days, September 24 – 27, 2019

„Chemistry between Science and Industry“

For many years the Austrian Chemistry Days have been a forum for presentation and discussion of recent progress in all areas of chemistry and chemical technologies. In 2019, this event will return to Linz located in a region where an internationally important chemical industry is present, and where academic research in the various chemical fields is well established at the Johannes-Kepler-University. Therefore, the Austrian Chemistry Days may be a perfect opportunity to strengthen links between academia and industry. The German Chemical Society is the official partner of the Austrian Chemistry Days 2019.

The program will include invited lectures given by recognized experts as well as oral and poster presentations. It will also include a special program for students. Last, but not least, the United Nations has proclaimed 2019 as the International Year of the Periodic Table of Chemical Elements. Thereby, the United Nations has recognized the importance of raising global awareness of how chemistry promotes sustainable development and provides solutions to global challenges in energy, education, agriculture and health.
