CGCA 34th annual conference

On the occasion of the 50^th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Germany, the 34^th Annual Conference of the Chinese and German Chemical Association (CGCA) was held at the Berlin Technology Center of the Zhejiang Tsinghua Yangtze River Delta Research Institute, in Berlin on the beginning of October. This is the first on-site gathering of the Chinese chemical colleagues in Germany since the Covid pandemic started. The conference was held in a hybrid form with online participants, and focuses on the topic of “Sustainable Development”. Researchers from Chinese and German top universities, research institutes and well-known chemical enterprises held ten invited talks and five oral talks. They covered the field of materials, biomedical, and physical chemistry as well as energy chemical industry.

The CGCA Young Researcher Award (YRA) of 2022 was also revealed on the annual conference. The award, which was founded in 2014, is given to three outstanding young scholars each year for their achievements in scientific research.
