A conference celebrating 30 years of the Bunge Prize of the Hans R. Jenemann foundation
From May 31st to June 2nd, 2023, this conference brought together almost all Bunge prize holders and special guests from the world over to celebrate the thirtieth anniversary of the prize founded by Hans R. Jenemann. Since 1993, the foundation, now administrated jointly by the Bunsen Society and the Society of German Chemists, has rewarded and helped foster the development of excellent work in the history of scientific instrumentation. Considering historical instruments for instance using artificial intelligence tools or in the framework of environmental history or the history of recycling, the conference showcased exciting avenues of research that are likely to shape the field in the future. Courtesy of Helmuth Trischler, member of the foundation‘s advisory board, the meeting took place at the Deutsches Museum. This was an ideal setting for holding these discussions, offering participants the opportunity to visit newly opened galleries of the museum and to talk with its curators.
