Synergy moving forwards

EuChemS, soon meaning European Chemical Society, coordinates the efforts of more than 40 member chemical societies representing altogether around 160,000 chemists in academia, industry, and professional organisations.

These chemical societies share common missions and objectives such as promoting the value of chemistry as a central science, establishing links between academy and industry, providing standards for teaching chemistry at all levels, supporting young scientists, encouraging stakeholders to fund research in chemistry, promoting the positive image of chemistry among the public and the media and safeguarding ethical behaviour and research integrity.

We share all these objectives but it allows for synergistically complementing national activities on a transnational level by networking, through its European chemistry congresses and by participating in policy development.
